There are a couple of details I like about this shot.
The most obvious is the boat in the distance. While it almost certainly has no connection with the couple on the jetty, its positioning might suggest otherwise. Have they been left behind? Or are they perhaps bidding farewell?
The other detail is much more minor, but it’s the way that the couple’s waists are aligned with the horizon. I didn’t do it deliberately, or not conciously at least, but it’s a cool little detail, I think.

Very nice. I like your notes about the details. The waist alignment with the horizon adds value to the image and helps the photograph to work well. Itβs interesting how sometimes accidental moments add something. It may not have been intentional but perhaps subconsciously in composing the photo it was something that helped make the shot feel right. Its a really nice image.

Thanks. I think there’s definitely a subconscious element that creeps into people’s photography, perhaps just from the way the eye catches peripheral detail without you thinking about it.
