I took these pictures (indeed six of the shots on this roll of Tri-X) while walking between Leeds railway station and The Carriageworks, where the Photo North photography festival has been held the past couple of years.
I took a slightly meandering route, meaning I traversed this street off the more well traveled path, meaning I got to see these old buildings sitting nicely in the good light.

I always love photos like this with large and small textures with strong graphical elements. Not easily found in the hinterlands and suburbs of SoCal!!

We’re fortunate in that there are still a lot of these former industrial building still in existence here in the UK, particularly in former sites of heavy industry. We’ve lost an awful lot of them too, of course, and the ones that remain are mostly put to new uses, whether conversion to homes, or to small business and office space. It’s good to find them still standing.
