Bedgreave Mill was built in the late 16th century and operated until 1947. It lay unused for the next thirty or so years until it was restored when Rother Valley Country Park (in which it resides) came into being in the early 1980s.

After two of my images got into Flickr Explore just last week, I was a little surprised to see that this one got in there yesterday too. I now fully expect that months will go by without any more images getting in there (unless I start taking pictures of Lego Miniatures figurines 🙂 ).

I’ve taken shots of the love-locks on this particular bridge a number of times before. It’s not festooned with them or anything – there are maybe a couple of dozen or so – so it’ll probably be a while before the bridge is in danger of collapse and the authorities turn up with bolt-cutters.

This art installation of folded cloth lattices resides in the stairwell of Sheffield Central Library. I’m not sure how long it’s been there, but I took more photos of it a couple of years ago. They remind me of clouds when viewed from the side.

Sadly, many of the shots on this roll of Neopan 400CN suffered from light leaks because the film was slightly loose on the roll when I took it out. This is another that has been ‘rescued’ via cropping (although I’m ever so slightly bothered that the very top of the antenna is missing).

There’s another photo of this already in the blog from a week or two back, although that one was shot on my Mess-Ikonta (albeit taken on the same day). That one was a wider shot from further down one of the streets approaching the market square, as opposed to this one that was a bit more up close and personal.

Given that I didn’t post anything to the blog yesterday (I left it until late in the evening and then forgot and went to bed!), it’s a double-post day today.
I’m not quite sure why the shot below has such pronounced grain (it was taken with the same roll of HP5+ as many of the other recent shots I’ve posted, and they don’t have nearly so much). Maybe the snow and mist threw the camera’s meter out and then I overcompensated the exposure at the scanning stage or something. I guess I could re-scan the negative and see (but I probably won’t).
Grain isn’t something I dislike though, so not to worry. 🙂
