Another hot and sticky day here again. It’s nothing compared to the temperatures and humidity in other parts of the world, of course, but it’s the UK and we’re not really geared up for much beyond drizzle and overcast skies. One thing we are very adept at, however, is moaning about the weather, whatever shape it comes in. š
Here’s a shot I took during our recent trip to Spain, where it was very warm, but we were on holiday so it didn’t feel the same somehow.

34 C here today, and it’ll be like that all week.

I don’t envy you that! I think it’s the humidity here in the UK that tends to make things worse. It’s either hot and humid or cold and humid which both tend to exacerbate things. Combine that with buildings designed to keep heat in because it’s cold much more often than it is warm, plus very few buildings outside a few shops and offices with aircon, and you get a pretty uncomfortable environment. Thankfully it’s usually short-lived, but it’s becoming more and more common to have extremes due to climate change.

Thankfully AC is almost universal here. It wasn’t during my childhood in the 70s, but then, here in Indiana we got 1-2 days over 90 F/32 C back then. Now it’s 15-20.

Ouch! What’s the humidity like? It’s the damp sweaty conditions that always make hot days worse.
