I spotted these trees backlit by the autumn sunshine after dropping my son of at work. I don’t tend to take my camera out when doing this, but on this occasion I had a few frames of film still waiting to be shot so had it with me on the off-chance.
Something good that happened today…
Nothing particularly good happened. Nothing particularly bad happened. It’s been an average day.
I sometimes (often!) struggle to find something to write in this slot on the blog, especially if my mood is low – the things I use are often trivial – but in reality I have so much to be thankful for and, while I’m often unhappy about all manner of things, I am grateful for what I have. It’s good for me to recognise this.

This is a very nicely observed and captured shot π
Unrelated to your photography and more related to your blog. Have you ever viewed your blog while not logged in? ie the experience of viewers who are not logged into wordpress or maybe don’t have an account. I ask because I noticed the horrid advert which appeared beneath your post today. I realise you have no control of the adverts and maybe even see something different from the ad which I see. Today it was a grim photograph of someone wrapping their knee in clingfilm! I suspect WordPress deliberately put horrible adverts into the blogs in the hope that people will pay by way of subscription to remove them. It worked in my case! Since WordPress is my sole online platform I pay to have the ads removed. I thought I’d mention the thing with adverts only because it is possible (that while logged into your own site) that you don’t see them. I enjoy your photography and the something good section and it’s a shame when WordPress generate something which distracts from your hard work. Do delete this after you’ve read as its not really about your blog post. If you are already aware of this then ignore all of the above π

Thanks. I don’t tend to see the adds (mostly because I use an ad-blocker, I think), but I’ve decided to take the plunge and upgrade to a personal site, so ads should soon be a thing of the past. Finger’s crossed that everything transfers over ok.
