I was going to write about today’s trip out in today’s blog but my computer is being a complete dick once again and preventing me from doing even the most basic of tasks in a timely fashion, so now I’m in a bad mood and not feeling like writing anything. I’m very sorry.
So here’s a picture of a bright red bus at a bus station. I feel like getting on that bus and just letting it take me away someewhere.
Maybe I’ll be allowed to post something better tomorrow but you’d better ask my computer though.

I was going to post a large format photo and had the details all lined up, but then the computer decided it wasn’t to be.
I’ll fix it. ๐

Hi, I’m not prone to out bursts of emotion, I have however broken two keyboards and a long time ago thrown a computer out of a first floor window ๐ – You have my sympathy!! Have a glass of red, and to misquote “Why don’t you” switch off your computer and do…. Cheers Andy

While Iโve seriously considered it on many occasions, Iโve always managed to hold myself back from complete computergeddon. ๐

Oh, how I hate computers at times! You have my sympathy. Maybe it is time to bite the bullet and get a new one . . .

I was planning on replacing it this year, but thatโs on hold for a while. I do have the option of a Windows rebuild, or even using my sonโs old PC (which is still newer than mine). The main thing holding me back is the thought of getting everything set up again. I guess Iโd best start sharpening my bullet teeth at some point though.

I don’t know how tech savvy you are, but you can image the contents of your machine and then install it on a new build. Macrium is a product that does backups as scheduled, and this image can be used. If you could look into that – losing all your negatives and images won’t be fun. I also have external HDs for photos, just to be safe. Hope all works out well for you….my husband’s company replaces his laptop every 3 years for security and computer viabiity.

Oh – forgot to mention, imaging you machine will mean you don’t need to reinstall software or all you photos – you just load it onto a new system and there you are. That is why we do back-ups on a schedule here . . .

Thanks. I’ll probably avoid imaging the machine as I think my probems stem from some corruption in the OS rather than hardware problems and I assume imaging will just transfer those to the new build. I think I can do a Windows reinstall that retains software and files, so I might give that a go when I feel brave enough.

Lots of things take ages using my PC, but I think itโs more because Windows isnโt working as it should rather than the hardware being completely obsolete. But, yes, Iโll need to take the plunge and do something about it sooner or later.
