A pastoral scene

Today I present two views of the same scent. One in portrait orientation, the other landscape. I’m not sure which I prefer – the portrait shot has better composition, I think, while the landscape orientation possibly has more atmosphere thanks to the birds in flight (and in the trees), but at the expense of the foreground fence being less well positioned. Anyway, here are both of them.

      1. Well. I don’t know how old you are, but I’m old enough (neatly 68!) to remember the first – revolutionary! – appearance of the OM-1. In those days, small was beautiful, and simple was beautiful too. I used my OM-1 and OM-2 throughout 12 years in Kenya, and delighted in them and their compact lenses – and now I still have these two cameras – mouldy tho they are! – and I keep them with a good deal of affection.
