It’s another tree! This time stood guard beside a stile I climbed while out walking last week.

It’s a tree. And a field with pleasantly curved lines of planting. 🙂

Ford is a hamlet in Derbyshire, a few miles from where I live. This is the view looking west from just outside the Bridge Inn.

I obviously misjudged the metering on this shot and underexposed the photo. However, I think it’s another one of those cases where a happy accident produces fortuitous results. The deep shadow between the houses emphasises the man and the high contrast does the same for his shadow on the wall.

There are a lot of nice buildings scattered throughout Hull city centre, including this one.

On the day I visited Hull back in November, the weather was a mixture of sunshine and showers. This was taken after the rain had stopped and the sun was illuminating the pub. I think it was the reflection in the puddle that drew my eye.

The building depicted here was formerly a branch of Yorkshire Bank, but is now a Cafe Nero.

This imposing looking structure stands in Hull city centre, and features the Hull City Mosaic, which was commissioned by the Co-Op back in 1963. The building appears to be empty at present, presumably since BHS went out of business in 2016 (from what I can see online, BHS looks to have been the previous tenant).

I went to Hull (and back!) the other day to visit a photo exhibition at the HIP gallery. The weather was pretty cold and consisted of sunshine and showers, so I didn’t take as many photos as I might have done otherwise. I still got a few nice shots though (on the roll I’ve had processed – I still have an almost complete roll of 135 HP5+ to finish off and get developed too) from the trusty little Zeiss Mess-Ikonta. This is the Maritime Museum.
