This picture was made on the same outing where I shot autumnal scenes on a roll of Velvia 50. There was no way that Velvia would have worked for this shot though and I didn’t even attempt it with the F80, instead firing off a frame with my XA3 loaded with some much more amenable Ilford Delta 400.

I can’t hear the word “underpass” without it bringing the sound of John Foxx’s 1980 electronic classic song of the same name – although I still always have a childish urge to switch the chorus to “Underpants!” :).
I’m really happy with how this shot turned out. Again, the vignetting has added some grit to an already nicely gritty scene. I’d just walked beneath the underpass myself and was out the other side when I saw someone going the other way. So I about-turned and grabbed a picture of their silouhetted form as they reached the light at the far side of the tunnel. The 35mm lens focuses pretty slowly for some reason on the F80 so the figure isn’t totally sharp, but I don’t think it matters at all in this picture.

This willow stands at the lake’s edge at Rother Valley Country Park and I’ve photographed it on more than one occasion – there will be more photos of it to come soon, in fact!
It was a bright morning, with a hint of mist on the water and a touch of frost on the ground. I had a few frames left on the roll of HP5+ that I was pushing to 3200asa in my Bronica ETRSi, so I took a walk down to the lake before work.
The sun was low in the sky, peeking under a blanket of high cloud, and casting long shadows across the ground, so I decided to shoot into the light and use the branches of the willow to block the bulk of the glare. A small star of brilliance peeks between the branches.

Silhouetted figures sit inside St. Pancras railway station in London.
It was the guy on the end of the bench that caught mye eye for this shot. I liked the position he was sat in and the way I could just make out the frame of his spectacles.

After a morning of bleak (but wonderful) fog, the Sun suddenly broke through the clouds as I was driving home, and I quickly stopped to get a photograph. As I pulled over another car stopped on the opposite side of the road. At first I thought this would ruin my pictures, but after the guy got out, I saw he was there to tend to the animals in the field. After doing this he followed the track up to the top of the hill and I managed to get a really nice silhouette shot. The second shot is of the group of sheds where the animals presumably shelter and their food and so-forth is stored. The sky was lovely and I used an orange filter to catch some detail.
