Sigh

I was going to write a longer post today but, after returning from a lovely four day trip with my wife, including around eight hours of travelling today, my computer has decided that now would be the prefect time to start throwing glitches at me. And I can’t be bothered to sort it out right now. I’m too tired, and I don’t want the residual sense of happiness from the trip to be ruined by trying to sort out technical problems.

So here’s a picture of a window with some red and white seats inside.

Seating indoors and out

I must apologise for what is likely to be a series of pretty sparsely wrtten posts this week. Something came up at work and has resulted in longer hours and less time to get everything else done.

Slightly less sparse posts will resume in due course. 🙂

Outdoor seating

Wet seats at the racecourse

A week ago I visited Doncaster Racecourse with my dad. I’d bought him the trip for his birthday earlier in the year expecting that he’s go with one of his friends, but when that fell through, I decided to go with him myself. I’ll almost certainly be posting more photos from the day – my interest in horse races is negligible, but my interest in photographing such events is considerably higher and I shot about half a roll (despite the conditions) – but, for now, this post has just a single image.

I think it illustrates quite well the weather on the day of our visit – rain, rain and, yep!, more rain.

The stands are on three levels and I would expect them all to be at least partially polulated normally, but on the day in question only the uppermost tier had anyone present as all the rest were subject to the rain falling on the uncovered section (and blowing under the shelter onto the next level). As you can see, they were not busy. 🙂

On the Buses

One of my short posts today – I’ve spent the last hour-and-a-half packing up some stuff that I sold on eBay and I’m losing the will to go on. While it’s always nice to get a bit of cash for things you no longer want or need, the packing part is a real chore. Oh well, it’s done now, so I’ll be thankful for that.

Anyway, a couple of days ago I mentioned that I might have a photo of the interior of the bus that featured as that day’s photo. Well <drum roll>, here it is! See, some things are really worth waiting for, aren’t they? I’m not saying that this is one of them, but some things are. 🙂

FILM - On the Buses

Nikon F80, Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 & Fuji Superia 100 (expired).
