The refurbishment of another section of Park Hill flats is underway and the block in question is cocooned in scaffolding and yellow netting.

This was taken on a roll of 2001 expired Klick XD200 film that I was shooting for this year’s Expired Film Day. Due to the age of the film, I overexposed it a couple of stops. It’s not come out too badly though – a little extra noise and a slight pink cast are the only real signs of its age.

Another chain

I thought I’d post another photo of a chain today – actually part of the same fence I posted a photo of yesterday. I was quite surprised to see that this photo AND the one I posted here yesterday made it into Flickr’s Explore section today. I don’t tend to see many of my photo’s in Explore, so to get two consecutive shots in there on the same day was quite an unusual thing to happen (for me, at least).

The house at the bottom

There’s an impressive flight of steps that descends the side of the hill down to the road where this house stands. I didn’t venture down them on this instance though, just took this shot before the roll of film ran out. As it was the final frame, there was some damage to part of the negative and so it’s been cropped to a square format. The light wasn’t great and I shot this wide open, which has resulted in a nice effect from the resulting shallow depth of field on the foreground.
