So, unless I make another visit to an airshow or aircraft museum in the near future, this is probably the last aircraft shot for a while. It’s another shot of the Vulcan bomber from yesterday, but this time a profile shot of the cockpit.

I’m still not quite done with the aircraft pictures…
This is the Vulcan bomber at Newark Air Museum. While there are no longer any of these still being flown, they were a spectacular sight, whether at airshows or, as I would sometimes see during my childhood, in actual active service. They are still a very impressive sight when on the ground, especially when you are able to walk beneath the fuselage and wings.

After a morning of bleak (but wonderful) fog, the Sun suddenly broke through the clouds as I was driving home, and I quickly stopped to get a photograph. As I pulled over another car stopped on the opposite side of the road. At first I thought this would ruin my pictures, but after the guy got out, I saw he was there to tend to the animals in the field. After doing this he followed the track up to the top of the hill and I managed to get a really nice silhouette shot. The second shot is of the group of sheds where the animals presumably shelter and their food and so-forth is stored. The sky was lovely and I used an orange filter to catch some detail.

As much as summer is nice, and autumn colour is glorious, the naked skeletons of winter-time trees tend to make for the most interesting photographs I think.

White Edge Lodge is perhaps a half-mile from the nearest road, from where it can be seen peeking out over the heather. This shot was taken on my first ever walk up to the lodge itself. I think I picked pretty good conditions to do so.
