Another shot from Chesterfield flea market. It was bitterly cold on the day, but there were loads of photo opportunities (although not many old cameras – at least not of interest to me – a couple of Zenits and some old, but probably non-functional folders). I’ll have to pay another visit (but I’ve still plenty of shots to share from this time).

Although not my original intention, I like the way that this shot implies that the firing of the camera has shattered the glass.

Trees have a beauty to them after autumn has stripped them of their leaves.

Although it doesn’t look it in the shot, this path was coated in a slippery layer of heavy mud, which meant my shoes and the cuffs of my jeans were filthy by the time I got to the end.
I think the photo made it worthwhile though. 🙂

This photo was taken a stones throw from the one in yesterday’s post (I was stood beside the house in this picture when I took that one).
I’d intended to follow some of the footpaths and go on a nice walk, but it was quickly curtailed when, at the bottom of the hill where I took this shot, it became apparent that the route was impassable thanks to field covered in about 8 inches of wet mud churned up by tractors. Maybe if I’d been wearing wellies I’d have given it a try, but not with the shoes I had on sadly. So I walked back up the hill and took this on the way.

This pylon had a dominant, imposing look about it stood on the ridge overlooking the road and valley, and I think the curve of the foreground road adds to the shot.

This field looks hard and frost-bitten. It wasn’t – there were times when my feet literally sank completely in the thick wet mud of the footpath that runs along the bottom edge (and where all the meltwater was draining).
