Empty and occupied

Two car interiors – a Morris Minor and a Ford Popular. The bedraggled creature occupying the drivers seat of the Popular is, I believe, a womble, as featured in classic and beloved British TV show from the 1970s, The Wombles. 🙂

The wombles in the TV show were much better presented. Perhaps the showbiz lifestyle has taken its toll here…

More photos from the steam rally

Rather than upload these one-per-day, as I usually do, I thought I’d lump them together in a single post. All were shot with my Yashicamat 124G on Shanghai GP3 film – I like this film a lot. It can occasionally suffer from production problems (I’ve had the backing bleed through on some shots I once took), but it’s quite low cost and produces really nice results.

First, a few pictures of vintage vehicles. The Ford Popular in the second image can also be seen here in colour.

Ford Popular on expired Ektachrome

A couple of photos of a nicely painted Ford Popular which I came across while out and about a few weeks ago. The first shot was taken through the railings which, given the GW690 is both large and a rangefinder, meant it was a little difficult to frame the image. I poked the lens barrel between the bars so I knew they wouldn’t be in the shot, but I was still a little concerned about parallax error. I think it came out ok though.
