It’s been a busy day today and I’ve only just managed to upload the photo in this post to Flickr a few minutes ago. I need to get myself a shower now, so this is a short one I’m afraid.

A couple of fenceposts today, photographed when I walked down the Trans Pennine Trail the other week. I’ve walked on it several times since, just not as far.
One more week to go until “recreation” is given as a reason to go out (as well as just for exercise), although we still need to remail local – rather confusingly the order is to stay at home, but you can go out one a day for recreation or exercise, or to meet one other person outdoors. Three weeks later, assuming that infections are continuing to fall, various other leaisure activities re-open such as tennis and golf. While I have no interest in either of those things, I will take it that it means I can venture slightly further afield for my photography again (my reasoning being that I presume few golfers will only play on courses within walking distance…). Then, at Easter (again, dependant on infection rates), domestic holidays are allowed (with restrictions). This should mean that I can travel further still, which will be nice. Given that I’m a solitary creature when out with my camera, I doubt I’ll come into contact with many other people anyway,
The first of the fenceposts below has a laminated clapping-hands picture afixed to it. I’m assuming that this is in relation to all the clapping activities people have partaken in to thank key workers over the past year, but I guess it could be for something else completely.
The second post has no signs attached, but a nice clump of moss on its top.

Another remnant of the former industry in the area, this lone fence post is now dwarfed by a tree that likely didn’t exist when it last saw use.

A bunch of photos that I made on a big looping walk from Thorpe Salvin a few weeks ago. I’ve posted several photos from the same walk in previous posts here, here, here, here & here.
These are all from the second roll of film I started during the walk, some expired Fuji Superia 100. It expired 12 years ago but has been cold-stored and it still looks great. I sometimes overexpose it slightly, but it looks good shot at box speed too, as can be seen in the photos here.
It’s a bit of a random selection of some of the things I passed while walking and I’ll post them as they come, without any commentary.
Nikon F80, Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 & Fuji Superia 100 (expired 2008). The last shot was with my Sigma 105mm f/2.8 OS HSM lens.

A couple of quick photos today from one of the regular routes I walked back when lockdown was still in full force, perhaps a couple of months ago now (although it doesn’t feel that long). It was a nice morning but there was a chill in the air and the remains of a light frost were still evident in places the sun hadn’t yet found.
I liked this rotted-out fence post in which new life was making its presence known.
And another fencepost, this one surrounded by an average and ordinary selection of grasses and weeds, but which the frost made appealing.
