I discovered this somewhat unusual Christmas tree on my wanders this week. I didn’t venture far into the woods, but this was the only decorated tree I saw.

Trees in the mist
The following photos were taken this morning. I’d planned on visiting the flea market at Chesterfield, but on the way there noticed the nice misty conditions and so got waylaid taking some photographs instead. I decided to convert these to B&W and add some gradient filters and vignettes as I felt it suited the compositions. It’s brought out the grain a lot, but I think that works too.

Two men with shopping trolleys
I was going for a Garry Winogrand feel with this shot, although I’ve probably fallen far short. It’s not too bad a picture though – I like the symmetry in the two main figures and also the two men with Christmas jumpers who’ve snuck into the shot.
