Autumnal bridge crossing

Another picture from my Trans Pennine Way walk back in October, albeit this is a bridge that crosses the trail, rather than carries it.

Something good that happened today…

Our eldest son and our daughter-in-law came over for tea* today, which was nice.

*Not the drink. Tea is what we call dinner around these parts. And to confuse matters more, dinner is what we call lunch.

Over the TPT

Yashica Mat 124G & Kodak Portra 400. Lab developed, home scanned and converted with Negative Lab Pro.

  1. Hi Nigel! That’s a lovely image! I really should do more colour work! I’m wondering if the Tea/Dinner thing is more of a age thing rather than location? My parents were always asking what shall we have for tea?(evening meal), so I do the same, often to be corrected these days, and I’m down here in Dorset! (Home of the cream tea, best after dinner at lunchtime!) lol Dumplings are always good btw!! Cheers Andy

    1. Thanks Andy. The trick with colour for me was being able to get colours I was happy with from my own (much cheaper than a lab!) scans. Once I got a relatively good process down I began to shoot more of it.

Re dinner / tea – It possibly is an age / generational thing. Habits get embedded as we age and younger people are exposed to influences and changing use of language that didn’t exist in the past, I suppose.
