Another picture taken in close proximity to those posted over the last couple of days.
This is a bit of a “tripod holes” scene, and you can probably fine a large number of alternative (and probably better) photographs of the same location. It sits beside one of the main paths leading through Padley Gorge so, unless you take the path on the other side of the gorge, you can’t really avoid it.
Still, I’m quite happy with how it turned out. I’ve cropped in a little to remove some additional brightness where the grey and overcast sky was visible through the branches at the top of the scene.

Wow – 5×4 and colour! Won the lottery? 🙂 Lovely image, I can almost feel that damp air! So typical of those autumn days. Can I ask where you get your 5×4 colour developed? Cheers Andy

Thanks Andy.
I was fortunate enough to receive the box of Ektar with the first 4×5 camera I bought, so the cost was absorbed somewhat. It still cost £5 per sheet to get it developed (not including postage), and one shot out of the four I sent in isn’t very good, so the effective price per usable photo is even higher! There’s a reason I mostly shoot B&W in large format!
This is the first set of colour 4×5 film I’ve shot and I used Rapideye Darkrooms following a recommendation from someone. Based on the experience I will use them again.
